in with the old, in with the new: neighbors and life long friends

Today was an amazing and full day. It was the coming together of new friends, old neighbors and new neighbors over a happy hour at my new home. Just 5 years ago, when I was living amongst the Orange Street neighbors, I had not considered nor imagined I’d live in the place I do now. What I did imagine, however, was a kitchen. A kitchen big enough to churn out as many treats as I please – check. Light, lots of light – check. Lots of storage space for all my important kitchen appliances – check. Friends, lots of friends to share meals and baked goods for hours on end. Four checks out of four. I’d say I’m doing pretty well. Today’s treats were “light” but substantial at the same time. So much care went into them…and the company was incomparable. I’m so thankful for both new and old friends. I hope I can bring them all together again soon.
